this statement. Batteryheads.com collects information from our users at several
different points on our website.
Creating
a User Account
When creating a
User Account, customers are required to provide their contact information (such
as name, zip code, and email address). Email
addresses are used as a unique identifier so that customers can access their account
and wish list. We use contact
information from the account form to send order status updates via email or to
contact customer’s if a problem develops with an order. If you don't want to
receive these types of emails from us you may opt-out. For more information on
how to opt-out see the Choice/Opt-out section below.
Placing
an order with Batteryheads.com
When completing
an order, customers are asked to provide contact information (name and shipping
address), and financial information (billing address, credit card number, and expiration
date). This information is used for billing purposes and to fulfill orders. We use
contact information to contact customers if there are troubles processing an order,
questions regarding an order, or to notify customers of the status of their
order.
During the checkout process customers are given the option to join our mailing
list. We may use customer’s email addresses to send a notices regarding
upcoming sales or promotions. Customers that do not wish to receive these types
of communications from us can Opt-out of the email list, see the Choice/Opt-out
section below.

Links
An email
link is used on our Contact Us page to allow customers to contact us with questions
or comments. Customer questions and
comments are reviewed daily and responded to as quickly as possible. Customer comments are used to improve our
site and processes.
Log
Files
IP addresses
are used to analyze trends, administer the site, track user's movement, and
gather broad demographic information. IP addresses are not linked to personally
identifiable information. This information is for our internal use and is not
shared with others.

Third-Party

When purchases
are made on our website, credit card information, customer name, and billing
address are securely submitted to our credit card processor for verification
and authorization. We also provide the customer’s name and shipping information
to third-party shippers (FedEx and USPS) who use this information to deliver purchases.
Under no circumstances will we sell, share, rent, or otherwise share your
personal information with third parties.
Choice/Opt-out
Customers are given
the opportunity to ‘opt-out’ of receiving marketing information from us. When
creating a User Account, customers are given an 'opt-out' option allowing them to
choose not to receive marketing material. Customers that choose to ‘opt-out’ of receiving marketing materials will
still receive Order Confirmation and Order Shipment email notifications.
Customers that no longer wish to receive newsletters or promotional materials may
opt-out of these communications contacting us at support@batteryheads.com
Correction/Updating
Personal Information
Customers that
need to correct or update personal information (such as your email address), or
no longer desires our service can let us know emailing our customer support department
at support@batteryheads.com
Security
Access
to all user information is restricted. Only employees who need the information
to perform a specific job are granted access to personally identifiable
information. We do not store credit card information in our databases. Future transactions will require customers to
re-enter credit card information.
All
servers, including web servers and database servers, are housed and maintained
in secure locations. Access to the database is monitored and protected from
outside access. Internet access is restricted and protected by firewalls and
password protection. The servers on which we store personally identifiable
information are kept in a secured environment.
All
employees are regularly trained on security and privacy practices.
